How does Baby Word Scramble work at a shower?+
Each round shows a scrambled baby word, like TELBOT (bottle). Guests type the answer on their phones before the timer runs out. Correct answers score 100 points plus a speed bonus, so the fastest solvers climb the leaderboard.
Can I print it instead?+
Yes — download the free printable worksheet with an answer key, or customize it with your own words and the baby's name.
Is there a team mode?+
Yes. Guests pick a team (default Team Mom vs Team Dad) and the team score is the average of its players' points each word, so uneven teams stay fair.
What if someone makes a typo?+
Spaces, hyphens and capital letters don't matter (Car seat = carseat = Car-Seat). For long words of 8+ letters, one typo still counts for 75% of the points.
Do guests need an app or an account?+
No. They scan the QR code or go to buyforbaby.ca/g and enter the code. Just a name — email is optional.
How many words should we play?+
15 words with a 30-second timer takes about 12 minutes — perfect as a warm-up while guests arrive.
